Mr. Randy Schroeder
Marathon Systems
Dear Randy,
This is a follow-up letter to your voice mail request demonstrating the positive impact that Bios Life II[ continues to have on our daughter Elizabeth. Elizabeth has a very rare heart/liver disorder called Alagfille's syndrome. This is a serious lifelong disease that requires constant medication and medical follow-up. For years our daughter was taking Questran to reduce her extremely high levels of cholesterol. This past summer we received permission from Elizabeth's Pediatric Gastroenterologist to try Bios Life II as an alternative to Questran. The results are very positive to date. The following is an excerpt of a letter addressed to Elizabeth's Pediatric Physician.
Dear Mark:
I had the pleasure of seeing your patient Elizabeth on November 19, 1993.
As you know, she is a seven-year-old female with Alagille's syndrome. Her major component right now is her pruritus and it comes in waves. I think we are doing everything that we can do for her at this point in time. Her appetite is excellent. in fact mom is limiting some of the food that she is getting. She has developed more of a skin rash, Less of the xanthomas. The labs are great, in fact the cholesterol is much Lower than it has been over the Last year with the family's product "Bios Life II.
Physical exam today shows a height of 98 cc, a weight of 17.3 kg. Abdomen is benign. The spleen is down 4 cm. She has significant skin lesions, but the xanthomas seem to be improved. The other skin rash appears to be mottuscum contagiosum.
We need to send this letter to the insurance company because of the importance of "Bios Life II". It -has been the only thing that really has reduced her cholesterol from a high of 1,800 at one-point in time to now 230, which certainly is going to give her a better prognosis. There is really no substitute at this point in time for this product. We will need one canister of this "Bios Life II” per month. If the insurance company has any further problems or questions about the use of this, we would be happy to talk to them.
Sincerely,
Daniel T. McClenathan, M.D.
Chief, Pediatric Gastroenterology/Nutrition
As of March 15th, Lizzy's lab results show a cholesterol count of 178! In addition, Dr. McClenathan has reduced Lizzy's intake of supplemental niacin.

Below are the laboratory reports for Elizabeth. Note that the start TC indicated here is 1128 and the final is 178.
I hope that you do not need this much of a reduction. You should also realize that the latest medical literature indicates that the desired point for serum cholesterol is in the process of going down to below150
